Marbank is a national marine biobank coordinating a network of marine collections in Norway. The mission of Marbank and the network is to provide national and international academia and industry with easy access to marine biodiversity, its associated data and extractable products. Marbank and the national network hold samples of marine organisms that are collected in Arctic, sub-Arctic and boreal habitats varying from the intertidal zone to the deep seas. Olivita Ltd is a nutraceutical company with a patented Norwegian omega-3 product Olivita. Olivita is a unique combination of seal oil and extra virgin olive oil. It combines omega-3 fatty acids from seal, natural antioxidants from extra virgin oil and inflammation soothing components from seal oil and olive oil, respectively. The product has a strong anti-inflammatory effect and reduces the development of atherosclerosis. It may prevent stroke and other inflammation related diseases such as arthritis, psoriasis as well as auto-immune diseases. The University of Tromsø – The Arctic University of Norway (Norwegian: Universitetet i Tromsø – Norges arktiske universitet) is the world’s northernmost university. - Norwegian Innovation Clusters shall trigger and strengthen collaboration in regional business clusters, make the clusters more dynamic and attractive, and make the enterprises more innovative and competitive.

Norwegian County Councils are today part of a three level governance system:
