About Biotech North
Biotech North is a blue biotech industry and innovation cluster organization serving northern Norway and headquartered in Tromsø, the Arctic Capital.
Our members
Biotech North currently has 36 members of which half are biotech and biomarine SMEs. The others are made up of R&D organizations and other service providers.
Our expertise
Biotech North members generally operate in the biomarine and biotechnology sectors with a broad focus on marine bioprospecting and rest raw materials.

Seminar Blått Kompass
Torsdag 5. juni arrangerer Biotech North en sesjon under Blått Kompass sammen med Senter for Hav og Marbio hvor vi setter fokus på potensialet i å kommersialisere den gode forskningen vi har på medisin og helseprodukter fra havet. Hvilke helseutfordringer er det vi kan skape løsninger for og hvordan kan vi styrke en industriutvikling i nord innenfor disse områdene? Programmet er snart klart og vil bli publisert her. Men vi kan røpe innledere fra Zooca, ArcticZymes Technologies, Marealis, UiT +++++ Blått kompass er en inkluderende og tverrfaglig møteplass der forskere, næringsliv, myndigheter og sivilsamfunnet samles for å diskutere havets betydning og utfordringer i lys av FNs bærekraftsmål 14 – Livet under vann. Målet er å gjøre viktig kunnskap tilgjengelig for alle, med særlig fokus på å engasjere unge i spørsmål om bærekraftig havforvaltning.
